Prior to becoming a Realtor I owned and operated a residential and commercial building company from 1995 to 2011. During that time I built homes from Daufukie Island to Callawassie Island and in most of the neighborhood in between. McVey Custom Homes was a recipient of numerous Light House Awards organized by the Hilton Head Area Home Builders Assoc.
I am originally from a small town in New York and had an opportunity to relocate to Hilton Head in 1995 together with my wife and daughter Erika. Our son Michael was born on Hilton Head a year and a half later.
Fast forward 24+ years and Erika has graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and our son Michael graduated from The College of Charleston. Both children now live nearby each other in Mount Pleasant.
As a family we have always been avid boaters & enjoy the outdoors. We love the beach and exploring the coastal waterways. Whether it is kayaking the scenic marshes, offshore fishing or cruising along the May River, we spend most of our free time on or near the water enjoying all the Lowcountry has to offer.
